Application Fields
Core Footwear Automation Scenarios1. Automatic upper-to-sole integral bonding for sneakers, casual shoes and running shoes2. Hot-press composite fitting for flyknit upper, microfiber leather, genuine leather and EVA/MD/rubber outsole3. Continuous gluing and curing production for large-scale automated footwear assembly linesExtended Application Scenarios4. Heat-activated bonding for shoe lining, insole and various footwear auxiliary materials5. Environmental composite lamination for leather goods, bags and textile accessories6. Low-carbon adhesive materials for brand green customized footwear and sustainable product lines
To address the challenges faced by ASEAN footwear factories, including strong odors from conventional solvent-based shoe adhesives, complicated on-site adhesive preparation, material waste, and increasing pressure to manage VOC emissions, our new-generation 1K Heat-Activated Water-Based PU Adhesive for Upper-to-Sole Bonding will be presented at VFM 2026 Vietnam.
As one of the featured products at the Vietnam Footwear Machinery and Materials Exhibition from October 14 to 17, 2026, this adhesive is developed for Southeast Asian footwear manufacturers and supply-chain companies visiting the exhibition at SECC in Ho Chi Minh City.
Based on a one-component waterborne polyurethane system, the product eliminates complicated on-site weighing and crosslinker mixing. After drying and heat activation, it provides reliable bonding between shoe uppers and soles. It is suitable for a wide range of footwear materials, including EVA, PU, rubber, leather, synthetic leather, and textiles.
The adhesive supports brush, roller, spray, and automated application. It helps simplify production processes, reduce mixing errors and leftover adhesive waste, and improve upper-to-sole bonding efficiency and batch-to-batch consistency. By reducing the use of conventional organic solvents, it also provides footwear factories with a cleaner and more standardized bonding solution.
Footwear manufacturers, footwear chemical buyers, and industry partners from around the world are warmly invited to visit VFM 2026 at SECC in Ho Chi Minh City and experience this 1K heat-activated water-based PU footwear adhesive through on-site product demonstrations and application testing.
